Home from the Great White North

It was a wonderful trip in every way. I miss all of our family so much, and coming home has made me realize that I am trying to do too much with too little support. Having family around was so helpful, emotionally and just in the simple fact of having others to talk to and play with the boys.

All three boys loved the snow. J. couldn't get enough of sledding, building snowmen (the snow was all wrong, so the snowmen were very short, but he didn't mind...they had miniature carrots for noses, which looked about right).

We found out that B. is obsessed with lamps and fireplace screens. Our house is so child-proofed that he can't get into much. Being at relatives' houses was an eye-opener. Both G. and B. were cuddly with family members, which was a nice new development.

Not back to speed with computer use, but hope to find time soon!

Glad you made it home and that you had such a great time with family. It's so nice to be able to relax in that way you only really can with them!

Happy new year.

Oh yes, I hear you on that trying to do too much with too little support. I realized last summer when we were in LA for 5 weeks that things are so much easier with family around.

Glad to hear it was a good trip and that the boys had so much fun. The photos are great. Happy New Year!!

I usually am ready within 24 hours to leave my family, but this year it was different and I felt really comfortable and actually didn't want to leave. Support means so much! Welcome home!

We got to see 2 movies over the holidays, thanks to my inlaws. Free babysitting is awsome!! I am glad you guys had a good time, and the kids got to play in the snow.

I'm so glad it went well. Any chance you might get to move back closer to family? I know how difficult it can be going it alone...
